Total scam. They use these pre-recorded messages that answer anything you say. If you feed them rubbish or silly questions to drag it out, you can hear them clicking about looking for what to say next, just trying to catch you in their trap. Best way is to mess around with them by giving daft replies and waste their time instead.

It was only an automated message saying "goodbye".

I picked up the phone and just said “hello”, then out of nowhere a cheerful recording replied with “goodbye” and hung up on me! What a weird call!
