When I get a call that’s a cold caller, they normally hang up before the message even starts. If the message does play, I listen a bit to check if it’s someone I wanna speak to and then cut in, otherwise I just hit cancel. Seems like the message is working now, haven’t had any scam or unwanted calls since.

Received a call from a number that showed up as originating from Chipping Sodbury. I don’t have any acquaintances in that area and certainly wasn’t anticipating a call, so I decided to let it ring. I’ve since put the number on my blocked list.

CLC Hotels and Holidays, they somehow get hold of your number through third parties where you mighta given it for something else. I’d say they are much like those door to door salespeople, always telling you about special deals and offers you can't find in shops or online.

apparently I’d won some holiday contest, which I don’t even recall entering! they seemed really eager to tell me I’d won. then they handed me over to someone else who started explaining the holiday details. all I had to do was cover the flights. that’s when I mentioned I was at work and couldn’t talk. they said they’d ring me back next week. yeah right, definitely sounds like a big scam to me. I only picked up because I thought it might be mates who recently moved nearby.
