Some guy claimed to be from BT and said my internet was having issues. I caught on it was an Indian scammer though, and as soon as I said that, they just ended the call straight away.

I got a call on 17/5 around 11:38am from a woman with an asian accent claiming to be from BT. I just said, “no, I don’t think that’s true” and then ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. When I called out his spiel, he got proper narked and started threatening to disconnect my internet!

so this woman with an indian accent rang me claiming to be from BT and said there was an issue with my internet because apparently some people were using it for illegal stuff. she kept saying if i hooked up now, she’d prove it “right before my eyes”. something felt off, so i told her i’d think about it and then just put the phone down!

some bloke with an indian accent kept rambling about bt and unplugging or something. i’d already looked up the number here so i picked up quick. told him to shut up and bugger off. how long are these rubbish scammers gonna keep bothering us?

Some bloke said he was from BT, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone with an American accent saying they were from BT and threatening to cut off my internet. They rang me three times in just thirty minutes. Proper annoying.

Got another call from the same number just a few mins later but they ended it before I picked up.

I got a call about some issue with my internet, and they asked me to log in while they guided me through fixing it, then said they’d put me through to a supervisor. I just ended up hanging up.

apologies for the slow reply, got a bit of a disability so didnt get to the phone quick enough. called 1471 since there was no voicemail. cheers for the info from everyone here, now I’m sure it’s a scam. top job everyone. if you need a few quid for the cause, let me know! dave
