The initial contact I had was on 19th September 2019, and it was rather unsettling. It came across as one of those automated robocalls that scream ‘scam’ from the get-go. The caller claimed my internet provider was on the verge of disconnecting my service due to supposed illegal activities associated with my account. They prompted me to press 1 if I wanted to discuss it further, which I promptly ignored by hanging up. I then dialed 1471 to trace the number, but despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I'm still inundated with these nuisance calls far too frequently.
