I had a rather peculiar encounter with an Asian gentleman. When my lad picked up the call, he informed him that we didn’t possess a phone for proper conversation. The caller simply replied with a nonchalant, "Alright, cheerio," and hung up. Quite the curious interaction, if I do say so!

A Filipino lady called me...numerous times, inquiring about my wife. I kept her on the line and, out of the blue, I blew my new referee whistle directly into the phone at full blast! It went silent for a moment before she abruptly hung up! I reckon she was taken aback by the sound! Get yourself a good, loud whistle and have a practice when you're free - and start speaking in hushed tones to force them to crank up their volume. Then, just let the whistle rip as close to the mic as humanly possible! It's quite the giggle to think of them squirming with earache from the sudden blast. Honestly, nothing - not even TPS or a civilised request - has managed to make these calls cease! What a laugh, eh?!

How peculiar! She actually left us a voicemail with a woman singing, though it’s quite difficult to decipher the tune. I could definitely sense she had an Asian accent.

As someone with a disability, I find it quite distressing to receive relentless calls from these individuals-about ten times daily! They keep asking for someone who doesn't reside here. Despite being informed that this person isn't at this address, the calls persist. I've opted for an ex-directory listing precisely to avoid such incessant interruptions, yet it seems that has made no difference whatsoever!

I received a call from an Asian lady who enquired about a specific individual by name. Upon learning they weren't available, she promptly hung up. The last time she called, she attempted to pitch some PPI nonsense. It's clearly a scam, especially since I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list. There's always that awkward silence before she recites a name, as if she’s just plucking it from a script. What a right pain! It was just some background chatter that sounded like a call centre, then a bloke piped up with a 'hello' before cutting the line. I reckon he was just ticking off another call on his list to hit his sales targets. I’ve tried to figure out who’s behind the number, but no luck at all.
