I had a rather odd experience with a phone call that seemed to be from a call centre abroad. The chap on the other end was clearly speaking with a foreign accent and was inquiring about someone I had zero knowledge of. It felt like a ploy to fish for my name or some personal details, to be honest.

Somebody rang up claiming I’d won the postcode lottery, but from an address I don’t even live at anymore. They asked who my life insurance was through, but I kept quiet. It sounded so scripted, like they were just reading off a page. These types of calls really get on my nerves!

Honestly, whoever is behind this lottery clearly has no clue how to manage it properly. You can tell they haven’t been given any proper training on running something like this.

Got a call from a lady, sounded Asian, telling me I’d bag £100,000 in some postcode lottery. I could hear loads of others doing the same pitch in the background too. As soon as I told her I wasn’t signed up to any postcode lottery, she just dropped the call.

They rang me and asked for my name. I told them I hadn’t asked for the call. Then they tried to say it was some kind of consultation that costs £20 per minute or part of a minute. As soon as I mentioned the charge, they just hung up. Feels like a scam to me.

Just answered a call and when I asked the lady to say the name again she was looking for, I told her I'd check if I knew anyone by that name, she cut me off straight away. Thought it sounded fishy, so I'm guessing it was a scam.

They called saying I'd won £1000 from some postcode lottery, but gave an address I left ages ago, like 10 years back. Then they wanted my current address to send the prize, but when I asked for an email or any proof to show they were real, they just ended the call. Definitely a SCAM.
