Someone called me saying I was being charged £7 a month for TV insurance. When I told them I’d notice if that was coming out of my bank, they just cut the call. I’ve been getting loads of these calls from various numbers recently, all with the same story. Also, there’s been a lot of people pretending to be BT engineers calling around lately too.

I picked up for my elderly mum, and the caller actually knew her name. But the moment I told them I was handling the call for her and asked who they were, they just hung up.

Got a ring from this number but luckily our call blocker stopped it dead. It’s pretty simple really - if it’s someone legit calling from a number that’s not already on our approved list, all they gotta do is hit ‘0’. Then we can take the call and decide if we wanna keep them cleared for next time. If they’re dodgy, they get blocked straight away. This one must be a fake, cause honestly, these nuisance callers are so annoying!
