Got a call from someone claiming to be linked with Yell[###], asking to speak with the business owner. When I asked them to ring the head office instead, they just cut me off without any farewell. Pretty rude if you ask me. I doubt they’re legit, a real company would probably be more courteous. Feels like a typical spam call to me.

Someone called saying they were linked to Yell, but I rang Yell to double check and they said no way. Yell's aware of that lot too. I ended the call pretty quickly!

This has all the signs of a scam to me. The second I answer, an automated message just says “goodbye” and hangs up. Seems like it’s a sneaky way to hit you with a premium charge just for answering. I can’t imagine any other reason for these calls. It’s been going on for about a month, I keep blocking the numbers but they always come back from new ones. Proper frustrating!

They've phoned me three days straight saying they're from the "Trade Registry, official partner of Yell[###]". It's clear English isn't their native tongue 'cos they don't seem to understand what "No" means. Lately, I've had to use more everyday language, but they still won't get the message. Pretty sure they're not actually based in Gloucester.
