I got a recorded message claiming to be from Amazon, asking to verify my account info because I supposedly bought a couple of things - like my credit card details. Thing is, I don’t even shop on Amazon, and I don’t own a credit card anyway. Handing over card info to some random caller is just asking for trouble unless you’re totally certain they’re legit. I’ve had calls like this pop up before, so I told my bank to block any payments going to Amazon from my accounts.
