I received a rather suspicious call at precisely 2:19 this afternoon. The chap on the other end inquired whether my debit card had expired back in 2019, or if I was in possession of a new one. He even requested that I have a glance at my cheque book. When I probed him about why the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) required such details, especially since it's supposed to be a complimentary service, he claimed that my TPS membership would be terminated if I didn't comply. I simply responded that he could go ahead and cancel it, as he was just wasting my time. He introduced himself as James, but I can spot a dodgy scammer from a mile away.

Just today, I got a call from someone who sounded Asian, claiming he was checking up on a call regarding my call preferences. He then asked for my visa debit card's expiry date. I feigned that I was away from my card and he became rather pushy, insisting he would hang on while I searched for it. In the end, I simply hung up on him to avoid further hassle.

Attempted to retrieve my card information earlier today.

I gave it a go nine times, but my Call Guardian system kept him from coming through. That number is now on my blocked list.

01452568545 has rung me 9 times already today. I blocked it after the first call, which claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service. As soon as I heard that, I said goodbye and hung up, then blocked the number. But still, the phone buzzes and I check to see it’s this number calling again and again. This 01452568545 needs sorting out, I reckon it’s a dodgy call and could be risky.

Got about six calls today and probs 30-40 in the last couple weeks. Most times they just hang up as soon as I answer, but a few times I actually spoke to someone who said they’re from the ‘Telephone Preference Management Service’. One day, I’d enough, think it was like the tenth or eleventh call, and I just told them to shove off, nicely though. Didn’t hear from them again for like four or five days after that.

I keep getting calls from loads of different numbers, not just this one. About a year back, I got a call from someone saying they were from Telephone Preference Management. It was an Asian man asking for my bank details and he was quite rude. Then he passed me over to some English bloke. They were trying to get access to my bank account, total scam. They should really be put behind bars.

Received two calls from this number today. I opted not to pick up, and they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail. It's rather annoying, to say the least!

My missus picked up the phone and then I got back home so she handed it over to me thinking it was alright. They kept asking me to confirm my bank info a few times. When I asked for the number they had so I could check, they said I had to tell them first. Total scam, no doubt about it!

This bloke kept ringing me, said he was from telephone preference management or something, sounded foreign and really rude. About 30 calls in one week! I told him to take me off their list but he just shouted back and refused. Proper annoying.

A young bloke with an Asian accent rang me, saying he was from "Telephone Preference Management" and his number started with 01452. He claimed to be calling from the UK, so I asked him where exactly, but had to repeat myself twice. After I mentioned it sounded like a scam, he just ended the call.

Had a rather dodgy experience with this TPS Blocking firm, I must say. They keep ringing me incessantly, and it’s all rather chaotic with the background noise. I was shuffled between about three different individuals, all attempting to wrangle my card information. They had the nerve to claim it was about my Barclay card, which, for the record, I don’t even possess. It’s definitely a scam-stay alert, folks! When I pressed them for details regarding their website being "under construction," or even their address, they tossed out some phony West London postcode-WW8FSS, if you can believe it! Total fabrication! Absolute scam, beware!

Like others have said, he kept saying he was legit. I told him to cancel any old contract since I never even knew I'd agreed to anything, it was obvious something was wrong since he kept ringing. I asked for customer service and got given this number 0203 630 5459. He kept insisting he just wanted my sort code and nothing more, but I wouldn't give it. I told him to send a letter if he wanted info, but he wouldn't.

I received a rather dodgy call merely moments ago, claiming to be from TPS, asking for my bank and card details. Luckily, I wasn't fooled and they left empty-handed! I’m grateful that my phone is equipped with an effective call-blocking feature that works like a charm when the TPS isn't completely on the ball. Exercise caution, everyone!

I received a call from Vass over at the telephone preference management service. He mentioned he could help eliminate all my pesky nuisance calls, but then he asked for my card information! Quite the thoughtful chap, isn't he?

I've received six calls today from this number, but thankfully, my call blocker prevents them from getting through. Despite being blocked, they keep attempting to reach me every thirty minutes or so.

Got a call from some phone control service, asking if we’re still getting annoying calls. Told the guy we definitely were, and that he was one of them, and then he just hung up on me! Rude behaviour from this call centre that claims to be from the UK but is obviously overseas. Honestly, it’s about time these calls were cracked down on. Maybe the government could actually do something helpful for once...

I had a rather unsavoury encounter with a chap who had a distinctly Pakistani lilt to his voice, but he didn’t manage to hoodwink me. I swiftly blocked him along with several others. Although we still occasionally receive the odd spam call, our trusty CPR call blocker has proven to be quite effective in keeping these nuisances at bay.
