Lately, I’ve been getting loads of calls from local 001452 numbers. I actually answered one today, and they told me someone had withdrawn £1000 and £300 from my account. They asked me to press 2 to speak to an agent, but it’s clear it’s a scam. My bank always reaches out directly if there’s anything like that happening. What really gets me is, why does BT let these scammers use private numbers? I tried calling the number back, but it was just busy. Proper annoying.
