This number rang me the other day, some bloke talking rubbish about taxes, sounded like he was in a busy call centre. He asked if I was someone I hadn’t even mentioned, I told him he’s the one who called me on my mobile so maybe he should explain! When I said I’d report him, he just cut off straight away. No chance for more nonsense. I’ve blocked the number now. It’s mad how they keep using all sorts of different area codes though. I don’t get how they manage to get hold of my number, it’s so frustrating having to keep blocking these calls!

Got a ring from an Indian call centre earlier, and it turned out to be a scam. They keep switching numbers all the time. I’ve already blocked the lot and sent a report off to Action Fraud.

Got a call from a place saying they’re from Gloucester asking about the business owner, but the voices had Indian accents and there was a lot of noise in the background. Felt a bit off to me.

Yesterday, I got a dodgy email pretending to be from HMRC, so I sent it on to the genuine HMRC. Then today, an unfamiliar number rang me. I looked it up here and, just as I suspected, it was a scammer trying to pose as HMRC or someone similar.

Had nearly 100 calls from all over the UK, mostly from overseas scammers pretending to be local by using Irish, Scottish and unused UK landline numbers. They want you to pick up and chat to get you hooked. I usually let it ring through so they realise my phone is active, but I never share any personal or bank info. After a fake HMRC scam call where I played along pretending to sort it out, I've been bombarded with calls from all sorts of places. My tip? Just don’t pick up!

I received a dodgy call claiming I’d been involved in an accident. When I replied that I hadn't, they proceeded to inquire if a family member had instead. The caller spoke incredibly quickly, making it tough to discern which company they represented. The chap had quite a thick Asian accent too.

Got a call from someone with an Indian or Pakistani accent claiming to be from HMRC, saying I’d committed tax fraud. I told them HMRC don’t call without giving a tax reference number first, but then they started trying to scare me, saying the police would be at my door soon, not HMRC officers. No idea who this number is, but they've rung me a few times over the last few days. They never leave a voicemail, and when I try calling back, the number just shows as ‘unavailable’. Being disabled, it’s really annoying having to get up just to pick up these annoying calls. If it carries on, I’m going to consider it harassment.
