Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE, saying they were officially contacting me to switch me over to a business phone deal. Total scam, don’t trust it!

Hey, I just got my latest phone bill and it shows I rang this number 226228 nine times all between 8 and 9 in the morning. They've charged me £15 for those calls, which supposedly happened on 3rd November this year. Thing is, I've definitely never dialled that number and I’m completely baffled how it ended up on my bill. Luckily, my phone company is sorting out a refund for me, but I’m really anxious this might happen again. So now I write down the date and time every single time I use my landline, just to keep track.
