I received a rather unexpected call claiming I had won a discount card worth £400 along with some complimentary flights. Curiously, they then proceeded to ask for my bank information... very suspicious, I must say!

Just got a call from this number claiming to be from the postcode lottery. They told me I’d won a family holiday, £399, and some discount card. When I asked how they got my details and why I hadn't received any email about it, they suddenly just ended the call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

I have a feature that tells me who’s calling, but this person hung up without saying anything. I've decided to block the number now.

I got a call telling me I’d won a £400 discount voucher along with free flights. They then asked for my bank info to supposedly check who I was. They were quite pushy, but I didn’t fall for it as it seemed dodgy from the start. I reckon the call probably came from somewhere in Asia.

I got a call from a woman looking for someone who isn't at this address. When I asked who she was, she said she was Jennifer from the lottery department, then just cut the call off.

She told me it was some sort of postcode lottery and somehow my postcode had luck on its side (I don’t actually use that number so I just let her chat away). Apparently, I’d bagged £399 plus a discount card for half price shopping at Tesco, M&S and the like. She said they’d send £1 into my bank first to kick things off. I asked her to go over it again cause I wasn’t quite following, but then she just cut me off. Proper rude, honestly.

Got a call from a lady with an African accent, claimed to be ringing from London about a postcode lottery. She told me I’d won a discount voucher plus £399, but asked for just £1 to be transferred into my bank account to activate it. Creepy part was she knew my full name and address. When I refused to give bank details on the phone, she wanted me to email them instead. Wouldn’t answer any of my questions properly. I was sure it was dodgy right away, but stayed on the line to gather info and report it. Really scary how easily vulnerable folks could get caught out by something like this.

I recently tried claiming PPI back and was surprised to find out they took a chunk for tax purposes. Didn’t realise you don’t get the full amount because of the tax they deduct. Bit annoying, as I thought it would all be mine! Just a heads up if you’re planning to go through the process.

They said something about a postcode lottery or whatever, but it sounded fishy to me. Probably just trying to scam or sell something. Didn’t really trust it at all.

Got a call about some old ppi claim i never made. They said I could get some money back but wanted my bank details first. Said they would send a quid to check the account then post a cheque in 15-20 days. Of course, I didn’t share anything with them.

So this lot said they were from a lottery and told me my postcode had won £399 plus a discount card. Then they asked for my bank details to send the money. Absolutely no way I’m falling for that, not even for a second! I’m not daft!

I got a call from a cheerful young woman, sounded like she might be Asian, talking about a tax refund linked to my PPI claim. She asked if I preferred the refund by cheque or some other method. I did file a PPI claim before, but it was rejected and I never got any money back, so I’m puzzled about this refund. She knew my phone number, full name, and address, which was a bit concerning. I told them to send me the info in writing. Sounds dodgy, probably a scam to me.

Got a call from some bloke asking about my ex, who stopped living here over a decade ago. I kept saying he doesn’t live here anymore, but the guy just wouldn’t listen. Kept going on about being with the Postcode Lottery and claiming I’d “won” discounts on stuff… I just ended the call after that, it was a waste of time.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Aviva life insurance, but they were looking for someone with a completely different surname. They did get my first name spot on, which was a bit odd. When I corrected them, they kept asking if I was connected to a John or a number of other random names. It all felt pretty dodgy and like a scam just fishing for info. Not falling for that one!
