Phone number ☎️ 01452147511 👆 is reported as a persistent scam nuisance, falsely claiming to be Windows technical support. Callers pressure recipients to grant remote access to their computers, often mentioning bogus virus infections, presumably to steal personal data. Overall, it is considered a deceptive, intrusive operation preying on unsuspecting individuals, especially the elderly. Vigilance and refusal to cooperate are strongly advised.

Had some people calling claiming to be from Windows support, kept ringing for weeks. When I told them I wasn't interested, she just ended the call. Honestly getting really tired of it now.

I picked up and ended the call straight away. They keep ringing me from loads of different numbers.

Like many others here, I got a call from someone saying they were 'Windows tech support'. Total con! I’ve already reported it to the ICO and TPS. Don’t fall for it.

There was a brief pause, then a recorded female voice came on saying "goodbye".

Got a call from these lot earlier today, this woman claimed my computer was full of viruses. I told her I refuse to give her access to my PC as I live Amish style, then she just hung up. Turns out, they were calling from Gloucester in the UK. Don't let them near your computer! They’ll talk about how many viruses you supposedly have (which you don’t) and try to get you to install TeamViewer or some other remote access tool so they can snoop around for your banking info or anything else they could steal. Next time they ring, just say you’re Apple tech support and see how they react - it’s quite amusing!

A guy with an Indian accent finally spoke after waiting a bit. I was quite blunt with him, but he actually ended the call before I could.

Got calls from them quite a few times, so I started playing along. When they asked what the screen showed, I told whoever was on the line, "they're just trying to scam you, tell them to get lost." Weirdly enough, they usually hang up straight away after that! Lol.

Had about half a dozen calls in just three days, and they're all dead silent. Seriously starting to irritate me these constant silent calls.

Got a call from "Windows support" once more! The first lady's English was so bad, I struggled to make out what she was saying, so she handed me over to her manager. I let them natter away for ages, then just hung up and let them chat among themselves. I asked what version of Windows they thought I had, since they seemed to know loads about my PC, but they brushed it off, saying it didn’t matter and that my computer was seriously infected and needed urgent fixing!

Just like the others said, this caller claimed to be from Windows support. I told them straight up that my PC was already sent back to the manufacturer for fixing, which was true. Then they wanted to know if I was in front of the computer so they could get rid of some nasty viruses! They didn’t stop there - they phoned my 87-year-old mum too, who doesn’t even own a computer, trying to offer the same “helpful” service. Honestly, Microsoft support is rubbish most of the time, so the idea that they’d ring up random people to assist is just pure nonsense.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft tech support offering to fix all the problems on my computer. I soon caught on it was a con, so I acted like I was turning on my PC. After about 5 minutes, my computer still hadn’t started! I then told them I knew it was a scam, but they kept pushing me to boot up and run some script. They insisted I wasn’t an IT expert and should just listen to them. I told them I actually use Linux, so their commands wouldn't work anyway, but they just shrugged it off and told me to give it a try. What a bunch of muppets!

I got a call from 01452147511 from a woman claiming there was an issue with my computer. I asked her which computer she meant, and she replied by asking how many computers I own. I told her, "If you rang me, you must already know how many computers I have." She then claimed there was a virus on it. When I questioned who told her about the problem, she just hung up on me quite abruptly. These scam callers are so annoying - anyone know how to block them for good?

I reckon this number is a total fake. When I tried to dial 3 after hitting 1471, it never came up as a real number. I ended up chatting with someone calling herself 'Christine' for about ten minutes, she was going on about problems with my computer. Once I called her out on it being a con, she just hung up on me - thought we were having a nice chat, turns out I was way off. Maybe she’ll call back sometime.

So this bloke called me up sayin he was from Windows tech support, all official like. I mean, Windows doesn’t just ring you outta nowhere - getting proper help from them is a nightmare, trust me, I’ve tried loads of times. Even if they did call, how on earth would they know you’re using Windows or where they got your number? The clue’s in the accent anyway, usually sounds like it’s from India, not Europe or America. I told the lass on the phone I had her number and was about to report it to the cops. She just told me to go ahead and then hung up. Absolutely disgusting.

So, I got a call from someone saying, "Hello, this is Gupta from Windows Technical Support" or something like that. First off, Windows doesn’t just ring you up out of the blue for support - trust me, I’ve tried getting help from them, it’s a nightmare. Plus, how on earth would they know anything about your setup or have your number in the first place? The big clue was the accent - not usually British or American. When I told this lady (she sounded Indian) that I had her number and would be reporting her to the police, she just hung up on me. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

Got a call just now, all I heard was silence followed by a quick "Goodbye". I'm unlisted, so it’s probably some automated system just trying to spot real people answering. Bet this means I’ll soon be getting calls from abroad trying to fix my PC, pitch me heating systems, or sort out my insurance stuff! Lovely... just what I needed :-/

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be John, said he was from Windows Tech Support and needed to check something on my PC. I asked him what operating system I was using, he replied Mac! Bit strange for a Windows guy to be dealing with a Mac, right? (Spoiler: I don’t even have a Mac.) Told him to bugger off and not bother me again...
