Someone called me saying they was from BT Openreach and asked me to turn on my PC so they could fiddle with my hub settings. The voice had a strong Indian accent, which made me suspicious straight away. I reckon it was another scam, so I just hung up. This is the second time I've had a call like this in just two days.

I like to mess around with these calls. The other day, I acted like I was right at my PC. The bloke said he’d sort out any issues by taking control of it. I kept going along with what he told me, but just when he probably thought I was daft, I said my laptop had just crashed and that I’d ring him back later! Since then, he’s rung me like 23 times yesterday and five times today, sometimes from hidden numbers. Honestly, just block them straight away!

I didn’t pick up, but just from what I heard, looks like yet another person who thinks they can pull a fast one on us.

I keep getting these dodgy calls and honestly, if your phone lets you block numbers, just do it. They're claiming folks from abroad are messing with your account or logging in, but it’s just a scam to try and hack your internet. Don’t fall for it!

This number has rung me three times over the past couple of days, but still no voicemail left.

It's amusing how many daft souls seem to ring me up all the time!

This is the third time this week I've gotten calls from these folks, always using a different number. The person on the line has an Indian accent and claims to be from BT Openreach's tech department. I just told them I’d already dealt with this scam before and then ended the call.

I got a call from a lady speaking with an Indian accent, who somehow knew my name and claimed to be from OpenReach’s technical team. She told me there was some problem with my router and that my broadband speed wasn’t what I was meant to be getting. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was going to disconnect my BT broadband. I asked him to send me an email or letter instead, but he just hung up on me. The number had the STD code for Stow-on-the-Wold in Gloucestershire, a tiny town in the Cotswolds!

I just got a call from a lady with an Indian accent who said she was from BT Openreach, my internet company. She called me by my name and told me my computer was in danger because someone was using my wifi without me realising. She kept asking which devices I had and if I could check my computer so she could help fix it. Then I started to smell a rat and thought this must be some kind of con. I told her, before we carry on, if you really are from BT and you know my name, then give me my BT account number to prove it. She immediately ended the call after that!

Got two calls over the last couple days, it seemed like someone was there but then straight after I got that robotic 'the caller has ended the call' message. Pretty odd.

Got a call from this number around 2.45pm on the 20th of February, but nobody said a word before hanging up. Pretty much a silent call from PITB.

I picked up the phone, but all I got was silence at first, then some robot voice saying 'Goodbye'. I've gone ahead and blocked the number myself now.

Watch out and don’t hand over any details to these nasty, pushy, and downright rude scammers. Telecom companies seriously need to step up and stop letting our info get passed around like it’s nothing. It feels like our data’s being swapped everywhere and no one’s really doing much to fix it. Proper frustrating!

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent asking for someone who’s been dead for four years. I told him I’d check if the person was around, then just let the phone sit there. After a while, he seemed to lose interest and ended the call.

Just a heads up, some bloke from India called saying he's from BT but it felt like a scam, probably trying to get into my computer. Best to ignore calls like that!

Some bloke with an Indian accent claimed to be from BT Openreach internal security, saying my router was compromised. He warned that they'd cut off my internet and an engineer would visit on 28th February. Mentioned he was based in London and even gave an address, but I told him that was easy to find on Google. I stepped away for a bit, then phoned back, and when I told him I'd traced the call, he hung up straight away.

a guy with an asian accent rang me claiming he was from bt. he said they'd noticed loads of spam calls coming to me and offered to sort it out. i told him that earlier today, my computer's security system had sent me a message saying all was clear and up to date, so i didn't really see a need for his assistance.

Had a weird spam call the other day - heads up! The caller claimed to be from Openreach, saying they needed to fix some problems. They asked if they could access my computer through TeamViewer, which instantly set off alarm bells. Who knows what they wanted to do once they were in?! I messed about with them for a bit, and then they just suddenly hung up. Proper dodgy stuff.

Apparently, they say they're with Openreach, but as far as I know, Openreach only works with the internet companies like BT, Sky, or TalkTalk, not direct with customers. So honestly, don’t share any info with these people, it’s definitely dodgy.

This morning I got a call from this number, and the person said they were from BT Openreach wanting to get into our computer. I didn't let them do anything, obviously. I told BT Openreach about it, and they told me to get in touch with the police fraud department.
