I received a dodgy automated call claiming to be from BT, stating there was an issue with my internet connection. They instructed me to press 1 for BT or 2 for a different provider. I can't shake the feeling that they were attempting to gain access to my home computer. It's a good rule of thumb to avoid engaging with anyone who claims there's a problem with your internet.

I just got a bizarre automated call claiming there was an issue with my internet connection, which, to be honest, isn’t the case at all. They were prompting me to press 1 if I was with BT or 2 for a different service provider. To me, it seems like a ploy to gain access to my DNS settings, with the intent of meddling with my connected devices-likely for some dodgy fraudulent scheme. Definitely raised my suspicions!
