Had someone from Wales try and buy my motorbike off eBay for £3500. We settled on a price, but he asked if a van could pick it up for a £500 deposit, saying he'd sort the rest once he had the bike. I wasn’t about to fall for that, so I declined. After chatting a bit more, I discovered his account was blocked. He seemed to go by the name Mart. The longer I think about it, the more it feels like a scam - even his postcode looked like it was smack in the middle of nowhere!
