Got a call from someone named David claiming to be from Currys trying to sell me an iPhone. I questioned how they got my number and he said it came from my mobile provider. When I asked which provider I was with, he couldn’t answer. I tried asking for my name but he didn’t know that either. Then he said he was calling from Acton, but after I challenged him about that, he switched to saying Manchester. I told him that was like saying you’re in London one minute and then Birmingham the next, and he just ended the call.

Today at 2:07pm I got a call from 01446 382171, which is listed as coming from the Vale of Glamorgan area in Wales. I didn't answer since it felt dodgy, so I checked the number on Who Is This Number and found loads of warnings from others about it being a scam. Definitely going to block this number and avoid picking up if it rings again!

Got a call from someone claiming they were giving away freebies, but as soon as I showed interest, they wanted my bank info. Seriously, do they think I’m daft or something? ####

This bloke called me claiming to be David from Currys, trying to sell me an iPhone. I asked him how on earth Currys got hold of my phone number, and he said my network passed it on. I pressed him for which network exactly, but he couldn’t answer that. Then I asked for my name, and he blanked on that too. After that, he said he was based in Acton, then suddenly said Manchester. When I pointed out the contradiction, like saying you're in London then suddenly in Edinburgh, he just ended the call.
