Received an unexpected call from an unknown number, and an automated voice - unmistakably American - told me I was in the running for a prize if I pressed number nine. I chose to ignore the prompt and just kept the line open, as I enjoy the thought of racking up charges for these bothersome callers. After about twenty minutes of nothing, the call finally disconnected. We're on the Do Not Contact lists, and since the number was ex-directory, it seems like yet another instance of a ‘randomly generated’ nuisance call.
