At first, the voice on the phone was quite courteous - "Hi, this is Tom ... I’m just ringing briefly to inform you that there’s some PPI refund you might be missing out on..." I calmly told "Tom" that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so he shouldn’t be ringing me. He made another attempt to keep me on the line, but I firmly said I was going to hang up now and gave a polite thanks before ending the call.
