I’ve come across a rather dodgy situation involving a PPI cheque. Apparently, there's a chap claiming he has a cheque ready for delivery from 'the London County Court'. The catch? You need to pop into a shop and fork out £150 for a payment card, then hand over the reference number before some supposed government agent shows up at your doorstep with the cheque. Sounds absolutely fishy to me!
