So this guy “Alex Smith,” who’s the only Asian bloke round here daft enough to pull this stunt, was messing about with my computer. He noticed all the dodgy stuff trying to screw it up, and because it’s “Windows,” apparently he’s here to fix it. Honestly, Alex, your mum must be mortified by what you’re up to. Why not stop this nonsense and do something worthwhile instead? Maybe help out some elderly neighbours rather than conning them over the phone. Seriously, steer clear of this number if you value your peace of mind.

Got a ring from this number earlier, with someone saying they were from Microsoft Tech Support. I quickly told them that Microsoft doesn't just ring out of nowhere for help - I’m always the one to get in touch first. When I asked the caller for their full name, they got all jittery and stuttered, “Um.. why do you need to know that?” Gave up and ended the call, then made sure to report the number at [#]microsoft[###]/reportascam.

I got a call from someone who sounded like an American but their voice was all weird, like it was being changed through some gadget or something. They said they were from Microsoft Windows and that my PC had sent them an alert about issues needing fixing. They asked me to get on my computer while we spoke. I told them I was actually out in a field at the moment and then they just cut the call. Yeah, pretty obvious scam to me.

I got a call from a guy who had an Asian accent and claimed he was with some “24 Hours support”. When I asked him which company he was representing, he just said “Windows”. I told him Windows is just an operating system, and asked again what company he worked for. Then I asked who makes Windows, and he looked completely lost. I kept pressing him for a proper company name, and after a while, he just cut the call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be "Mike" with a really strong Indian accent, saying he was from Microsoft Technical Support. I didn't waste any time and just told him he was a scammer before hanging up straight away.
