This number keeps ringing me constantly, and whenever I try to ask them how many times TalkTalk calls a day, they just hang up on me. Plus, my caller ID shows it as an out of area number. It's really frustrating. There must be a way to put an end to these annoying calls.

Someone claiming to be from TalkTalk called saying there was a virus on my line. They kept insisting I sit by my computer, but I didn't go any further with it. I phoned TalkTalk afterwards and they told me it was definitely a scam.

Something similar happened to me recently. The caller claimed there was an issue with my internet router and wanted to show me the problem on my laptop. They also promised to replace my current router with a new one. I told them to simply send a replacement and that I’d handle the installation myself, then they abruptly ended the call. I got in touch with TalkTalk, who kindly arranged call blocking for me at no cost. Not long after the block was set up, the same lot called again - about five minutes later - but just stayed silent. I’ve now blocked their number completely. Big thanks to TalkTalk for sorting this out!

They’ve called me a few times over the past days. One time, a bloke just said ‘hello’ and then hung up straight away. I didn’t say a word back. You’d think there’s some way to block this number from ringing people, right?

Lately, I’ve been getting tons of these annoying calls, so I’ve just disconnected the landline and only switch it on when I need to make a call. We've got four mobiles between us anyway, so anyone needing to get hold of us can do so easily. Easy as that!

They kept ringing me non stop from half past seven this morning, saying they were from TalkTalk and there was something wrong with my router. I guessed it was dodgy when they asked me to switch on my laptop. I told them to wait a minute while I fetch it. Instead, I grabbed my iPhone and put on Tiny Tim singing "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" on repeat into the phone. Haven't heard from them since, and I must say, the tune's kinda catchy now :)

Got so many calls like this recently and I just tell them to piss off now. I spoke to Plusnet and apparently it'll set me back £84 a year to block withheld numbers and any other numbers I get calls from.

When I answered with a simple "hello", I didn’t say anything more because I could hear the buzz of a call centre behind the line. After a moment, a bloke’s voice came through, saying "hello", then "hello, can you hear me?" followed by "hello baby" before he suddenly cut off the call.

I picked up and could hear a busy call centre noise behind the line. Then after a bit, I caught a couple of blokes chatting in what sounded like an Asian language. Tried saying "Hello" a few times but didn't get any reply at all.

Watch out for this number - it’s a scam pretending to be TalkTalk. They ring you up saying your internet’s got issues and then try to get remote access to your PC. Do not let them in, it’s a trick!

Had exactly the same experience, got two calls supposedly about my BT broadband. When I told them I never asked for any call like that, they just went quiet and I ended the call. Feels pretty dodgy, no clue why they were ringing. Maybe they’re targeting vulnerable folks to trick them? Or maybe trying to see if the house is empty for a possible break-in? Surely the police could look into it since there’s at least a phone number instead of one of those annoying ‘number withheld’ ones?

Got a call from a guy who said his name was "Michael" around 1.48 pm today. He claimed my BT router was acting up badly and that it might make my computer crash. He even asked if my computer was powered "ON". I just told him I wasn’t buying any of it and said he sounded like one of those scam callers who pretend to work for Microsoft or some IT firm. As soon as I said that, “Michael” hung up straight away!

These persistent scammers from India just won’t quit. I’m just wondering if anyone else getting these calls is a TalkTalk customer, because they’re the only ones who have my landline info. The first time I got a call, they already knew my name and account number, so it’s clear they got it from TalkTalk. What’s hilarious is it’s always someone with an Indian accent calling me!
