I got a call saying some Amazon transaction of over £300 had come out of my bank account, but something felt off straight away. I hung up right away and checked my balance, which was totally fine. Seems like a proper scam trying to trick you. My tip is: don’t engage, never share your details, and if possible, report the number to stop others falling for it. The call apparently came from somewhere in Pontypridd, Wales.

What a complete ruse! I just had a call claiming to be from my bank, saying that Amazon had drained over £300 from my account. I didn’t buy into any of it and hung up right away to check my bank balance - total nonsense, I thought! My recommendation? Just hang up immediately, steer clear of disclosing any personal details, and if you have the chance, report the incident somewhere. Mind you, it seems the call originated from Pontypridd in Wales!
