I received a phone call earlier from a woman with a foreign accent who claimed she had just a couple of queries to pose. However, what followed was more like an interrogation comprising about 22 inquiries! She was almost inaudible at times, mumbling her way through the questions. To make matters worse, she resorted to some rather condescending flattery, complimenting me on my voice, which felt rather disingenuous. When she probed about the age of our appliances, I firmly mentioned that we weren’t planning to replace anything for the time being. But when I pressed her on how many more questions could possibly equate to just "two," she quickly made her excuses and hung up. It was baffling!
