I received a call from a woman with a noticeable foreign accent who claimed that my IP address had been compromised, with someone supposedly using it to send out scam emails asking for money. I decided to have a bit of fun and acted as if I were the one orchestrating it all, and that I was raking in the cash. This seemed to throw her off her game, and she quickly ended the call. It was a bit odd, as I live locally and recognised the area code - it's not every day you encounter a scammer who seems to be in the same area!
