I was hoping the lot selling insulation had given up on ringing me, but nope, they're back again on 01442 963021. Now they’re also trying the double glazing pitch. Their methods must be working or they wouldn’t keep at it. I wish they had a simple rule like "IF DOUBLE GLAZING AND INSULATION ALREADY DONE, DO NOT CALL" - but sadly, no such luck! It baffles me how they’re still allowed to carry on, seeing as there’s over six thousand searches for this number!

Got a call from some dodgy lot pretending to be from Glass Scotland or summat, reckoned I was owed cash or a refund. She was saying she’s a scouser from Sheffield or summat - sounded proper sketchy to me. Didn’t trust it one bit, so I hung up straight away. Watch out people, these scams are getting more clever!

I’ve been blocking loads of calls, but they keep coming back from numbers that look nearly the same. The dialling code is for Hemel Hempstead, but I’m pretty sure it’s some call centre in India pretending to be from a green energy firm offering loft insulation checks nearby. The moment you question anything off their script, like where their company is located, they just cut off. The worst part is that comparison sites are probably the ones passing on your details to these people. If the company isn’t actually in the UK, the data protection laws don’t seem to do much at all.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who actually knew my name.
