Our fax machine is on a separate line with its own phone number. We've been getting calls from 01442 875596, but nothing ever shows up on the fax. I called the number back to check and was told it can't accept incoming calls. After reading the comments here, I’m convinced this is best to steer clear of. Wouldn't recommend dealing with them at all.

this 01442 875596 number keeps ringing me up loads of times and every time it’s different. first time, it was someone with an indian accent. the next call sounded like a busy call centre but no one said a word, just loads of noises in the background. just a moment ago, it happened again and still no one spoke, so I just hung up.

On the 1st of September 18, our home phone rang. There was a quiet pause followed by a barely audible bloke saying something like "telephone call for (mumbled name)" before they just cut off. When I tried calling the number back, it said it doesn’t accept incoming calls.

I've been getting loads of calls from this number and also 01872-277352, mostly just silence or strange background noises from call centres. Sometimes the caller has an Indian accent and says they’re from Openreach, but I reckon it's definitely a scam.

Got a call on my landline back in early September 2018 from someone saying they were with Openreach, claiming my internet had been hacked. They went on with all this tech jargon, asking me to log on to check the issue. When I told them I didn’t trust it, they got rude and just hung up. If that was really Openreach, they seriously need to sort their customer service out. To me, it screamed scam. Best to stay clear of calls like that.

On 30th August 2018, in the afternoon, my elderly neighbour got a call from 01442875596. The person on the line was a man speaking with an Indian accent who claimed he’d hacked into his PC. He tried to get money from him and even threatened him, which left my friend really shaken up. To make things worse, his computer seems to be acting even stranger now. These scammers are absolute crooks. Please watch out!
