I recently received a call from a number purporting to be from XLN Telecommunications. Now, this particular company has a rather peculiar history according to Companies House records. They claimed to be providing information regarding broadband and energy services for businesses, yet I couldn’t find any mention of this number on their official website. Interestingly, one of their previous contact numbers, 01442 835826, has a rather unhelpful voice message proclaiming, "The number you have dialled is not recognised. Please verify and try again." The same message seems to apply to 0808 1680392 as well. It appears that they are still operating under the numbers 02036 570740 to 02036 570747, 02036 570784 to 02036 570794, and 0808 1642684, amongst others. Just a friendly warning to keep your wits about you!
