Just got a call from 01412890675, the phone showed Glasgow on my caller ID. The person on the line claimed to be from my bank saying my account had been compromised. I asked which bank exactly my account was with cos I thought something was off, then they abruptly ended the call. The voice had an Indian accent.

Got a call today from someone who already knew my name. Claimed to be from Nationwide, even tho Ive never had anything with them. He asked if my postcode was [then read my exact postcode]. I just told him no it wasnt right and he imediatly hung up.

Got a call from a call centre and they had my name plus an old postcode from about 10 years ago. When they asked if the postcode was right, I asked "who’s this?" and they just hung up on me. Blocking the number straight away.

Somebody called saying they were from a firm named "First Call" concerning a supposed recent "accident". Bit creepy that they already had my name. Got a nearly identical call yesterday from a mobile number. How on earth do they find out my name?

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Red Star, though I'm not convinced about the legitimacy of it. When I mentioned that I'm now a vulnerable adult-which I am-they seemed quite taken aback and asked, "Are you?" I affirmed it, and then they abruptly apologised for wasting my time before hanging up on me. Quite strange, really!

Got a call claiming they were from Red Star, said I'd talked to someone there last year and they’d sent me some papers that I never returned. I’ve got this number all blocked on my mobile, yet somehow they still seem to bypass my defences. Just a few moments ago, they attempted to call again. Of course, there was silence again, so I promptly ended the call. I’ll be adding them back to my blocked list, naturally. Really noisy on the line, obvious call centre stuff, they was asking for someone totally different and kept saying I just got this number, which is rubbish cos I’ve had it since 2007.
