Then they asked for the last 10 digits of my card, which felt dodgy. I ended up ringing the real Capital One customer service and they told me straight up it was a scam. Glad I checked!

i got a call claiming to be from Capital One about suspicious charges on my card for Airbnb. when i didnt give any personal details they just hung up on me right away. pretty sure it was a scam.

Got two calls on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2024. The caller mentioned my first name and even the company that issued my card, saying they were calling from the card company. Noticed that Wavecrest Networks is tied to cloud services in Africa and Asia, so it feels pretty dodgy. Definitely think this was a scam.
