Got a call claiming to be from the “call blocking department” trying to sell me an upgrade. When I asked what company they were with and started digging a bit, they just hung up on me. Definitely seemed dodgy, like a scam.

Got a phone call from some automated voice claiming I was involved in HMRC fraud and told me to press option 1 to talk about it. I don't reckon there's any warrant out for me or anything like that. I just ended the call straight away - sounds like a total scam to me. Surely HMRC would contact you in writing if there was any issue like that! This kind of thing really should be stopped!

A call blocking team? Pretty sure BT have no clue about them! It's odd that the number can’t be reached either. Just hang up straight away if they ring back, these lot are definitely con artists! Give it a go if you want but don’t expect to get through.
