On the 23rd of December, we received a phone call that we unfortunately missed. When we tried ringing the number back, we were met with a recorded message stating that the line doesn’t take incoming calls. Quite puzzling, really!

I received a call earlier today that I unfortunately missed. As soon as I got the message, I tried to return the call, but it turns out this number isn't set up to accept incoming calls. It's quite perplexing, especially since they reached out while I'm currently in South Africa!

I just received a call, but honestly, it was quite pointless. All I got was a message saying "missed call," which means they must've rung once and then hung up. Cheers to everyone for clarifying that it's a scam! 😊

I received a call from this number and was greeted with the message, 'this number does not accept incoming calls.' Based on the feedback I've read, it seems this was an unsolicited call. Plus, since our phone is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, we really shouldn't be receiving calls like this at all. It's rather frustrating!

I received a call from these clowns earlier today. Whatever you do, don’t share any details with them. They're up to no good; it’s a complete scam!

In the last month, we've received a couple of missed calls from this number on our mobile. Since we’re currently in Australia, we can't help but assume that the person trying to reach us has probably incurred quite the expense!

I received a call from this number earlier today, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to answer it. There was no voicemail left, which is a bit unusual for HSBC, as they typically do leave a message if it's important.

I've noticed numerous missed calls from this number over the last month. And as you rightly mentioned, if you try to return the call, there's no way to leave a message or actually talk to someone. What a bunch of timewasters!

Received a call from this number earlier today but chose to ignore it since I didn’t recognise it. Delighted in hindsight that we didn’t respond; it appears to be a bunch of scammers masquerading as HSBC. Whatever you do, don’t divulge any personal information or banking details to them. Once you’ve taken that precaution, do let HSBC or your bank know about these dodgy characters; they could potentially take action.

I received a call from this number earlier on, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick up in time. When I tried returning the call, I got the exact same message stating, “This number cannot receive incoming calls.” Quite frustrating, isn’t it?

I received a missed call from this number on my mobile recently. I've only just secured a mortgage with Natwest, which aligns with what others have mentioned below. Interestingly, someone also tried calling our home phone not long ago and left a message with a relative, claiming they were representatives from HSBC. When pressed for a callback number, they wouldn't provide one, and they mentioned they would be trying to contact us again. Quite odd, isn’t it?

I’ve just had a missed call. Does anyone know who might have been trying to reach me?

In the last fortnight, we've had a couple of calls from someone claiming to represent HSBC. Strangely enough, they were quite evasive about which department they were from. Naturally, we declined to share any personal information, prompting them to get a bit irate and insist it was vital for us to have a conversation with them. When we asked for a contact number to ring HSBC ourselves, they were unable to provide it. So, we took the matter into our own hands and phoned HSBC directly, only to discover that they had no knowledge of these calls at all. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a couple of calls from 01442320082 back in March 2010 while I was over in France on holiday. The strange thing is, the caller doesn’t seem to pick up when we try to return the call. A bit peculiar, don’t you think?

I started getting calls from this number shortly after I opened a new NatWest account, even though I’d clearly stated that we didn't want any marketing calls from them. What a nuisance!
