A woman called me claiming I was involved in a recent accident. When I pressed her for details on how she obtained such erroneous info, she abruptly ended the call! Complete scam, if you ask me!

had almost the same thing happen to me like others here. when i asked what accident they meant, they just couldn’t explain. i also asked if it was about an actual case or if they were just cold calling me, then they just hung up. the guy had a hard to understand accent and there was a lot of noise in the background. i’m on the tps and have my number withheld too.

Had a call from a woman with a strong foreign accent about some kind of accident. I asked her what accident she meant, not once but twice, because I couldn’t catch her the first time. She just said “the recent one.” When exactly? “In the last couple of years.” I tried to get more details, but she just didn’t get it. Then she flipped it on me, saying I should be the one answering her questions. Got fed up and told her where to go. Wouldn’t waste any more time on her.

I got a call at about 1.20pm today from an asian guy, but the connection was terrible. He mentioned something about a crash or accident, but when I asked where he got my number, he just ignored the question. He seemed pretty pushy, and maybe I heard wrong, but it sounded like he said something along the lines of “do you recall last night when I was f. you”. That’s when I ended the call - felt really weird and unsettling.

Got a call by mistake from some spam number, they said I don’t care about anything. When I replied, they just told me to ‘bugger off’ and hung up. Tried ringing them again but the line was always busy.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian or Pakistani accent claiming I'd had an accident. Since I actually was in a crash a couple days back, I asked him which one he meant and the date. He just wouldn't give me a straight answer, kept insisting it was about my accident. When I dodged telling him how many accidents I'd had, he rudely told me to go f*** myself! Tried to find out who he was from but didn't catch the company name and the number just keeps ringing busy now.

Accident Help Line - Seriously! This number has been ringing us non-stop, a staggering 13 times within just a few days. When I mentioned that we’re registered on the Telephone Preference Service and they ought to cease contacting us, the chap on the other end cheekily suggested I shove my TPS where the sun doesn't shine and then paused, seemingly unfazed by my response. It’s appalling how dismissive he was of any potential repercussions. This sort of behaviour from a company needs to come to an end. It’s clearly an Indian call centre, which explains the noticeable lag when you pick up the phone.
