I got a call from someone pretending to be Amazon, saying my Prime subscription was about to expire and would renew for £39.99. Just the day before, I’d had a call from a different unknown number also claiming to be from Amazon. When I asked for a callback number, they just ended the call. After checking with Amazon myself, they confirmed they never contact customers about their Prime accounts on the phone. Pretty clear it’s a scam, watch out because they seem really believable.

Today I got another call from some scammer pretending to be Amazon, came from 001993703345 this time. I guess they just changed the number since I blocked the first one. It was one of those automatic voices warning me about a supposed Prime subscription renewal costing £39.99, telling me to press 1. Don’t fall for it, just end the call and block the number if you can. These scammers are really persistent nowadays.
