I got a call from a woman called Nadia about moving my landline to EE for a digital setup along with broadband because of the digital switchover. She started saying she had to go through loads of terms and conditions, which would take about twenty minutes. I told her to just send me the info by post or email, but she insisted it had to be done over the phone. She claimed she was representing PLUSNET. She sounded Eastern European, I think. Be careful with calls like this. Plusnet wouldn't contact you in this manner. Right now, they're moving customers with copper landlines over to EE, which they explain clearly in emails and on your Plusnet account. Sounds to me like these calls are from scammers trying to fish for info to scam you out of cash. If you're ever in doubt, ring Plusnet directly using the number from their official website or your bill, never one given in a random call. Stay safe!

After checking here and doing a quick online search, it looks like a cold call from somewhere in Stevenage, possibly Voiceflex. If it was really from Plusnet (which I’m sceptical about), they already have my email and could just contact me that way. Got a call from someone saying they were from Plusnet, but their strong Indian accent gave me pause. Some bloke rang saying he was from plusnet, but I reckon he was just some agent or scammer, not the real deal. He kept asking for my username and all that, but I said no. Then he tried to scare me by saying the call was being recorded, so I told him I do the same. You could tell he was getting narked. He warned me my landline would get cut off and I'd lose all connection, but I just kept quiet and didn’t give in. After a while he said we were just going in circles and hung up. Yeah, this is a legit call from Plusnet’s partner. They’re getting in touch with everyone who still has a landline because after they move everything over to digital, they won’t support landlines anymore. If you want to keep your landline working, they’re giving a free transfer to EE, who’ll set you up with FTTP plus a router that comes with an adaptor so you can still plug your phone in.

The call went straight to voicemail and there was no message left! Checked this site before calling back and happy I didn’t. I’m aware Plusnet belongs to the BT/EE family, but I’m confused why they’d ring from a Stevenage dialling code when their HQ is actually up in Yorkshire! I’ve blocked the number and reported it now.

If this was an authentic PlusNet call, then why are they ringing my mobile which isn’t even linked to their account? And on top of that, when I picked up, there was just silence, no one speaking. Sounds dodgy to me, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. If they really needed to get in touch, surely they have alternative methods to reach out?

The call didn't pick up from me, but it showed up later saying it was from Plusnet. Seems like it's probably a scam trying to catch people out. Could be risky.

Got calls from this number a few times; they hung up on me twice and didn’t leave any message. The number was marked as PlusNet, which I actually use. On the third call, someone finally spoke, mentioning some stuff about getting rid of copper wiring and trying to sign me up for a new plan. I asked them to email the info over, but surprise, surprise, they never did.

Got a call from 441438988277 just after hours on the 23rd of March 2026. When I tried ringing back, there was this recorded message by a posh sounding woman who said it was Plusnet, even though I don’t use them for my mobile any more.

Got a call from this number earlier claiming to be from Plusnet. I told them we’re already customers and weren’t interested. Then I started getting emails from Plusnet saying my plan was downgraded to a slower speed! Had to ring Plusnet myself to sort it out and tell them clearly someone, whether an employee or one of their sales partners, was trying to pull a dodgy scam. Plusnet wasn’t willing to say if it was really one of their staff or not. Honestly, steer well clear of this number. Never share any info with them. Just block it immediately...

Got a call from this number claiming to be Plusnet and saying they were based in Stevenage, which instantly made me wary.
