Got a call from a bloke claiming to be John, said he was with BT Openreach since I live close to one. He told me they’d check my internet speed because apparently my WiFi is running slow. I asked for his caller ID but he refused to give it, saying he wasn’t allowed to share that info. Thing is, the number showed up on my landline, but turned out to be some dodgy residential number. When I questioned why he wouldn’t just let me look the number up, he ended the call straight away!
