I picked up the call and they just cut off straight away. Honestly, I’m not bothered about EE trying to give me deals now to keep me on board. They should’ve done that when I was still using their service. I’m just gonna block the number.

+44 1438 382072 - EE Broadband sales team. They keep ringing and dropping voicemails ‘cause I checked their official site about my contract ending soon. Quite irritating really, especially since they call over and over when I can’t even pick up.

I reckon this was BT's retention squad, maybe an outsourced team, ringing me up after I had been thinking about switching my long-standing service over to SKY broadband. They called a few times, and finally I picked up when I had a bit of time. After chatting for a couple of minutes about wanting a cheaper and faster deal, they came back with a pretty good discounted offer to keep me with BT. I get why some folks might find the calls annoying, especially since they don’t leave voicemails, but honestly, I see it as a proper effort to keep loyal customers, which I quite appreciate.

Switched my internet provider from BT to EE recently, and BT aren’t exactly pleased about it. I’m now getting twice the speed for half what I was paying, with one of their main rivals. Rather than leaving a voicemail, they just bombard me with about half a dozen emails claiming they’re trying to reach me, but nothing really important. It’s not exactly threatening, but I’d call it annoying, like they’re desperate to keep me and then sneak in a price hike midway through the deal. Proper pestering if you ask me.

This number has rung me five times today alone. I recently switched my internet deal, so I’m pretty sure it’s BT or EE ringing to try and convince me to stay. I’ve decided to ignore all the calls as they never bother to leave a voicemail. It’s starting to feel quite annoying and persistent.

I called BT a couple of times before finally deciding to switch broadband providers. They refused to budge on their price, sticking at £51 a month for 150 Mbps fibre, which I thought was way too much. I gave them enough chances to improve the offer, but now that I’ve moved, they’re suddenly reaching out with better deals. Bit late for that though - I’m now paying just £22 a month for the exact same package.

But now, weirdly, for the past couple of days, their number keeps popping up on my phone without even ringing - it just shows up straight away. So, I recently switched broadband providers thinking I was done with BT. Before I left, they sent me some “exclusive” deals to stay, but the price was basically the same as before, only with a £4 monthly rise each year. Now that I’ve actually cancelled, I get an email slashing the bill by £15 a month. Meanwhile, my new provider is knocking £23 off per month with no sneaky yearly hikes. Quite amusing how they can suddenly offer that after failing to keep me just a couple weeks back. So yeah, BT, it’s been fun but I’m off.

I've been using EE since Feb 2026, but had Sky Broadband before that. Today, I just made a new order with Sky. EE is aware I'm switching back, judging by the emails and texts I got recently. Judging by what I’ve seen on here, it sounds like EE’s just trying to convince me to stick around? I’ve blocked the number now and will do the same if they ring from anywhere else. These people are definitely running a scam call operation. I had my phone set to block their numbers but somehow today a voicemail slipped through. Got a call from the EE broadband retention team, or actually BT's, trying to stop me switching providers. The call was legit, but annoyingly it came just a few hours after I'd already sorted everything out. I’d just signed up for a bargain deal with BT, so the call felt a bit pointless. Someone rang me saying they were from BT, but it felt dodgy when they asked for a 4 digit code that was just sent to my phone. The message clearly mentioned if I hadn’t asked for it, to report straight away. I ended the call quick smart - definitely a con job.

They used to ring me a couple of times a day, often really early in the mornin'. Never left a message tho. I picked up once, but there was no one there. It got so annoying after a while. I thought maybe it was somethin’ important, so I looked up the number and decided to block it.

Not sure, every time I picked up, there was no one on the line.

So, this number keeps popping up on both my house phone and mobile - it’s BT. I switched my broadband over to Sky just a few days ago, mainly because their deal was way cheaper, about half the price. BT called me to try and convince me to stick around by offering a better rate, but why didn’t they do that before? I might have stayed with them if they had.

Got a few calls from this number with no sound at all, like total silence. They rang me about four times in the same day, which was quite annoying, so I just blocked it after the last one.

Got a call from someone claiming they were local to Hereford and said they dealt with my mobile phone provider. Thing is, I don’t have any mobile contract with BT, so this smells like a scam to me.

Just saw loads of comments about this number, and now I've gotten a missed call from it myself. Turns out I recently switched my broadband and TV deal from BT to a different company too.

Got a call again within a day since I switched my internet provider. They didn’t say a word but just left the call open. Bit fishy, right? I’m guessing it’s some spam linked to my broadband change, especially since fast fibre isn’t available around here.

Didn’t pick up and no voicemail left. The call came through roughly an hour after the BRSK people called me, trying to get me to change from BT Broadband. Think this call might be connected to the earlier checks they did.

Since I decided to move over to Sky, I’ve been getting nonstop calls from this BT retention team. In under a day, they've managed to ring me five times, sent three texts, and bombarded my inbox with three emails. Every time I pick up, the call just cuts out - bit annoying, really. Would’ve been better if they’d given me their so-called ‘best offer’ before I made the switch, not after all this hassle. Honestly, it’s just bad customer service.

This number seems fishy to me. I got a call a few days ago from almost the same number, just the last few digits changed, and it was marked as spam on my phone. I'm actually switching broadband providers right now, but I’m not picking up if this number calls again. They can just send me an email instead, no need for calls.

Judging by the stuff people are saying and my current contract situation, I reckon this might be BT.

Judging by what others have said, this must be a BT number. My internet contract's ending soon as well, so I guess that’s why they rang. The call was just a few moments of silence with some chatter from a call centre in the background, then it just got cut off. Cheers BT, you’ve lost me - time to change providers.

I tried calling that number and it came up saying it was BT ringing for step change. I got in touch with step change directly though, and they told me it had nothing to do with them. So I'd watch out if I were you.

My phone flagged this number as a scam, so I’d honestly recommend not picking up. It’s pretty clear they’re just after our money… bunch of muppets!

Got another call from some scammer claiming to be BT. I just didn’t answer and have blocked that number now. Best to steer clear of it.

Pretty sure it was EE, they just went and cancelled my internet with them.

Picked up the phone and the call got cut off straight away. Reading through these comments, I'm guessing it's EE since I recently ended my contract with them. Now they keep bothering me to say why I left. Bit disappointing they didn’t try to match the offers from other broadband providers.

I'm pretty sure it was BT calling. It's annoying because I switched my broadband just a couple days ago. They gave me a quick discount offer but the price increases on the package I actually wanted didn’t get mentioned at all. Honestly, fed up with BT - their service can be hit or miss sometimes.

Been getting calls every single day from this number, and I’ve just threatened to drop my EE broadband because of it. Haven’t even picked up once.

Thought it was BT at first cos the number showed up, but it’s usually just silent when I pick up, which makes it seem legit enough.

After changing my broadband provider, I've been getting loads of calls from the same number, all pushing me to stick with BT. It's been pretty annoying!

I’ve had calls from BT’s retention team trying to convince me to stay, even though their broadband is pricey and keeps buffering all the time.

The BT/EE retention squad is so irritating! They keep ringing me several times every day even though I've clearly said I'm going to switch anyway. Honestly, they don't get the hint at all.

Ever since I switched my internet provider, I've been getting about 4 or 5 calls daily from this same number. Nobody ever says a word when I pick up. It’s been happening for more than a week now. I rang BT last night and told them to sort it out, and they promised the calls would stop. But guess what? They were back at it by 10 in the morning the very next day. Now, I just answer straight away with a big “f*ck off” every single time. After this, I’m definitely done with BT for good!!

When I picked up with my google screening, the person on the other end just hung up straight away. Makes me think they were up to no good, since anyone genuine would probably talk through the screening.

I was just about to leave EE and move to a different broadband company, but then their retention team kept ringing me. I got about three calls today from them, trying to convince me to stay. Sometimes it's good to pick up these calls, you might snag a better deal before switching.
