Total con - I refuse to believe this is legit. When I rang the number, they answered straight away, which felt odd since HMRC usually takes ages to pick up. A bloke named 'John Parker' tried to calm me down by telling me to check the HMRC site for their number, then he called me back from that very same number (0300 200 3311). But turns out they've faked it somehow - it’s definitely a scam. I checked with HMRC myself, and they said they would NEVER ring you talking about 'legal troubles' like that!
