4 yearsI’ve just had this number ring me three times on my home phone while I was busy chatting with someone else. Curiosity got the better of me, so I plugged the number into my mobile and gave it a bell, but no one picked up. Then, a mere 30 seconds later, I received a call from a Bulgarian number on my mobile. I answered it, thinking it might be someone I know from there, but it turned out to be a man claiming to be a solicitor returning my call. I mentioned I’d called the number in Stevenage, UK, only for him to be on the line from Bulgaria. He confirmed he did have a UK office, though not in Stevenage, and that my call had somehow been redirected to him in Bulgaria. I couldn’t shake the feeling that it seemed dodgy, and when he acknowledged that he’d been on the receiving end of similar calls, I decided it was best to end the conversation.
