Got a call earlier today, sounded like one of those automated robotic voices. The message was just like the one mentioned before. I’ve already flagged it with BT.

Received an automated notification claiming that my BT line was due to be disconnected-followed by another message from a number with a Stevenage area code, relaying the same alarming news. I've contacted BT directly, and it turns out this is all a load of nonsense.

got a call from 01438235831 earlier today, the message said it was bt telling me my internet was going to be cut off today. it asked me to press 1 to speak to someone or press 2 to disconnect the line. i didn’t press anything and phoned bt myself, who said they wouldn’t contact customers like that. seems like a scam so watch out for that number!
