Got a call at 8.20 this morning on 14/10/23. Cheers to who-called.co.uk for helping me figure out who they were. Now I can block these scammers for good!

I got a call from someone saying they were Elton John, then asked me if I was some kind of cream pie captain or something. Very odd!

Gave me a bell today and actually asked for me by name! I cheekily told him I went by Ronald McDonald, and he was still none the wiser! What a hoot! 😂

So today I got a call from someone saying they were looking into my death, which was bizarre. I answered just to see how they'd explain it - how can you be dead if you’re on the phone? Weird experience!

Today I had the same number ring twice on my mobile. I don’t usually pick up when I don’t recognise who’s calling, so instead of answering I just searched the number online and found out it’s actually a scam. I made sure not to reply at all.

Got a call from some bloke overseas going on about clearing off my debts like it’s some kind of magic fix. Pretty sure it was just another one of those scams.

Saw a bunch of cardboard figures leaping off a bridge today. Quite a strange sight, honestly.

Rang back but no reply. I’m based in Luton and have absolutely no contacts in Wales. You’d think these scammers know HMRC never makes surprise calls out of nowhere. Guess they should try a different approach.

I've had loads of calls from different numbers saying they're from HMRC, debt help lines, or housing support. Every time I've picked up, it's been someone with an Indian accent on the other end. Not sure who they really are, but it's getting pretty annoying.

I picked up the call but there was nothing on the other end, no response at all.

This is probably the sixth time I’ve had to block a number like this, and yet another one just shows up soon after. It’s so frustrating dealing with these idiots. Rather than trying to scam folks, why don’t they just find an actual job? Absolute lazy thieves, the lot of them.

I picked up but they just stayed silent for a bit before hanging up on me. No clue who it was, but maybe it’s that “credit fraud department” from before? Pretty sure it’s an old mate messing about.

Some guy with really bad English was on the phone, going on about debt and an IVA. I asked him what he wanted and how he got my number. Then he just cut me off and ended the call.

This so-called Debt Free Line is just a scam, totally illegal. Don’t share any info or get involved with them. People have already made complaints against these guys.

Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, telling me I was about to be arrested for not paying tax. The person on the phone spoke English really badly and had a thick Punjabi accent. It sounded totally fishy.

Some bloke claiming to be from a credit agency called me, went on about unpaid debts that I don't owe. When I questioned him, he just ended the call. Proper dodgy.

I received a call from a number I didn’t recognise and they didn’t bother to leave a message. Quite mysterious, really!

I received another call from this lot, and they claimed I had some outstanding debt which I was supposedly paying off in instalments. The truth is, I don't owe a penny! When I pointed this out, they just disconnected the call. This marks the third time they’ve tried to get in touch with me. Quite baffling, really!

Greetings! I’m Jennifer, speaking in a rather thick Punjabi accent. I’m reaching out from the Credit Investigation Unit. I found it quite a challenge to suppress my laughter as I was hoping they could assist me with my financial troubles related to a series of establishments of rather dubious repute. 😂 Jennifer ended the call. Onwards and upwards...what’s next?

Received a nuisance call from this number not once, but twice today! On the second occasion, I decided to block it, especially since my phone flagged it as a potential scam. Had a look here to see if others had similar experiences, and it seems there’s a whole firm using the 01437 807... range. This could turn into quite the faff trying to block every single one of them!

Identified this as a possible spam call, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number. I've also reported it to phishing.gov.uk for good measure.
