Honestly, if you ignore the tips here and don’t bother reporting these annoying scam calls, it kinda feels like you actually don’t mind getting them. Like, you just don’t care about anyone else at all and are fine with those scammers getting richer and richer.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise.

When I picked up, there was a bit of a delay before anyone actually spoke, which already felt a bit dodgy. Seemed like some kind of auto-dialer had rung me first before patching me through to a live person. The voice on the other end was hard to make out, probably some international call given how patchy the line was. In the end, I just ended the call.

Got a call from a woman speaking with a strange accent, trying to sell me 40% off on my O2 contract. I told her my O2 contract was cancelled (which it’s not) just to see what she’d say. She quickly replied, “Alright Mam, have a nice day,” and then ended the call.

Got a call from this number, but they just dropped straight away - total muppets. What a bunch of tossers.

Got a call so I just let it ring out without picking up, then it rang back straight away and I did the same again. The third time it called I finally answered but said nothing before the line went dead. No idea who was on the other end or what they were after.
