As soon as we tried returning the call, we were greeted with a message saying, "the number you've dialled is not recognised. Please verify it and try again." Oddly enough, I noticed it rang for a moment before I answered, but they promptly hung up. It certainly has me wondering if this might have been a ploy to determine when someone would be in the house. Anyone else encountered this?

The moment we tried dialling this number, we were greeted with the message saying, "the number you’ve called isn’t recognised. Please double-check and try again." I distinctly heard it ringing as I lifted the receiver, only for the call to end abruptly-clearly, someone hung up. Is there anyone else who’s encountered this? I can't shake the feeling that this might have been a sleight of hand to ascertain whether our home was busy or not. What do you reckon?
