I had a call purporting to be from Johns Hopkins regarding Covid. Right from the beginning, I could tell it was a dodgy call, having fallen prey to a similar one recently. There was that telltale buzz of a call centre in the background. When I confronted the caller about the nature of the call, he questioned my reasoning. It's quite baffling how insistent they are to keep you talking. Without hesitation, I ended the call. Just a heads-up, as they do try to pry into your life insurance particulars. Stay alert!

It started off sounding believable with genuine NHS/Covid related questions, but I got suspicious when they asked if my life insurance was current and who my provider was. That’s when I told them to send me something in writing, ended the call, and blocked their number straight away.

🚨 Warning about scams 🚨 Just got a call from 01435 817310 claiming to be from the NHS. Given I’d just got up, I felt pretty sharp! They asked if I’m fully jabbed and I said, if you’re from the NHS, you’d already have that info. The caller said they knew I’ve had two doses, which set alarm bells ringing as I’ve had three. So, I googled the number and found others saying the same about credit fraud scams. Stay safe out there everyone xxx

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Aviva about my life insurance, saying they were doing a review because of COVID. They asked for personal info to check my identity and I fed them false details, yet they still seemed to accept it. Haha. Then they passed me onto another firm named 'UK Life Assurance' who wanted to offer me a quote, but when I refused to give my DOB they just ended the call. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Claimed to be from the NHS, started off asking a few questions about COVID then suddenly switched to life insurance. When I said I was alright, he probed who my provider was, I told him it was none of his business. Then he asked if I had any problems with my utility companies, and that’s when I called him out and said it was a scam. He went on about how the Government supposedly cares if I’m paying fair prices for gas, electricity, or water. What a load of rubbish!

Got a random call supposedly from dhs track and trace asking all sorts of personal stuff about my health, vaccines and then money matters. They said they could cancel between 80 to 100% of my debts because of covid. They said they were calling from London but the number’s actually from up north in Scotland. Pretty sure this is a total scam.

Someone said they were from the NHS Coronavirus Portal, but I had a feeling something was off. They started asking about my vaccine status and then brought up life insurance out of nowhere. They called me using my first name and immediately began asking about my covid jab status. I told them I've had all my shots, and then they went on about sending me a covid passport through the post soon (which is nonsense since I've never applied for one). Sanako Service Ltd, based in The Marshall Islands, is running this scam. They have multiple fake companies pretending to sell various services. Some of these are Monkeyvacation.com, which is a holiday rental fraud, coin-mining-Farm.com, Riveraammunition.com, Finvestings.com, and Mind mining.com. I lost almost £20,000 to Finvestings.com. I really suggest reporting these calls to the FCA UK to get them on a blacklist and stop others from being tricked.

I received a rather peculiar call inquiring about my private information as well as details regarding my Covid vaccinations. I mentioned that I had no intention of getting vaccinated, given that I’m immune to the virus. When he probed further, I explained, “Well, you see, I’m a duck. Ducks aren’t susceptible to Covid, so there’s really nothing to fret about.” He didn’t seem to find my explanation amusing at all!

Naturally, I was a bit taken aback and pressed the caller on whether they were indeed representing the NHS. They assured me they were, but then swiftly pivoted to discussing medical insurance.
