My phone rang and the person asked to speak to my daughter who's just 11. They actually knew her full name! When I told them she was only 11, the call just ended straight away. Quite odd really.

Got a call from this number on the 31st of May 2022 around 2:15 in the afternoon, they didnt leave a voicemail or anything. Tried to check the number and it seems like it’s invalid? Felt really suspicious so I just blocked it and reported it as a scam.

So, someone rang me up asking for my daughter. I was driving and using hands-free, so it was pretty tough to make out what they were saying. When I asked which company they were from since I thought it might be a scam, he suddenly said I was shouting at him. Then they started on about health insurance, which is funny because I told them I live in Scotland where NHS covers all that for free (big cheers to them). They then said they were working with the royal hospital or something, but never gave a proper name. Again, they asked if I was Susan - like seriously, why? When I asked for their name instead, I just laughed and told them they should already know mine since they called me. The cheeky thing actually hung up on me! I’m guessing this was one of those UICs, you know, the kind of callers with hard-to-understand accents from India. Proper odd experience.

This arvo, some woman rang me up about life insurance. Since I’ve been through something like this before, I just threw a few easy questions at her, like asking for my full name and age. She got a bit flustered and then switched it around, trying to quiz me instead. I called her out, saying, “Are you a proper scammer or what?” and she just hung up on me. 😂

When I wanted to know how she got my number, she claimed it was via my insurance firm. I pressed her more on which company that was and she said she works for all of them. I then asked if this was some sort of scam call, but she said she just wants to help me get the right cover. Right after, she just hung up. If she phones again, I won’t hesitate to block her number.

I got a call from a pretty rude woman who claimed she wanted to review my insurance policy. I told her I don’t deal with cold calls, but she insisted she wasn’t cold calling since she wasn’t trying to sell me anything. She spent a good ten minutes pressing me for details, then suddenly mentioned the call was being recorded. I asked why and made it clear I hadn’t agreed to any recording. She snapped back that she didn’t need my consent or to inform me. She was super unfriendly, and it was clear to me it was just a scam. Honestly, I hope I wasted as much of her time as she tries to waste ours.
