I got a call from a woman saying she was with some “government agency” and that I needed to complete an “assessment” by 2016. When I asked her what law she was talking about - since I actually work as a government environmental adviser and had never heard of anything like that - she just called me a bastard and ended the call. Tried ringing back but the number was gone! Definitely a scam, watch out!

like i said before, this is just another scammer ringing from a fake number that BT doesn’t recognise. they’re randomly cold calling without even bothering to check the tps list, hoping you’ll bite and agree to some “green energy check”. after that, they push you to sign up for a suspicious solar panels, new boiler, or insulation deal (whichever fits) that probably isn’t legit. basically, it’s just a way to gather leads for a dodgy outfit you really shouldn’t trust. don’t reply - no decent company does business like this.

Got a voicemail about solar panels, sounded fishy right away. The phone number was weird - way too long, so it looks like it’s been spoofed. The message kept saying everyone must get an “assessment” done by 2016, which is obviously rubbish. Best to just ignore it or chuck the number straight onto your block list. Definitely don’t bother calling back.

This number keeps calling me over and over, saying I haven’t done my assessment yet - sounds like one of those automated messages. I just end the call straight away. Something about a ‘green plan’.

i keep getting calls from a fake uk number 014352020404, looks like an international call centre pretending to be local. they always try selling boilers and insulation with some dodgy script. bt says that number isn’t legit and they’re obviously ignoring the uk’s tps list. a proper company wouldn’t do that sort of thing, so it’s gotta be a scam. just hang up and don’t press any buttons on your phone!

This number has been calling us every couple of days for the past two weeks. It feels like harassment, especially since we're registered on the Telephone Preference Service list!

Got another one where no one said a word, just silence on the other end. Bit frustrating, really.
