Some dodgy foreign bloke called me from a crackly phone, said he was from the tax office, but he messed up my name completely.

Today I got a call from 01433627623. Since I didn’t recognise the number, I just ignored it and let it ring out. Later on, I looked it up here to see who it was. The number hasn’t called me back since then, but I’ve gone ahead and blocked it just to be safe.

Got a call about “energy saving” - right, like they’re going to help me beat the government’s price cap or something. Just put it straight on mute and blocked.

This number rang me up, and some woman with a strong Indian accent said she was from "consumer savings" trying to "cut down my bills." She never really said what kind of bills, just kept saying bills in general. What threw me off was that even though the number looks like a landline, the background was super noisy, like a big open office or maybe even outside. If this is a genuine call (which I highly doubt), it was done in a very unprofessional way.

I picked up the phone, and after a while, some bloke with an accent kept saying my name, which was a bit odd. In the end, I just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away. Cheers!

I've been getting some rather overzealous calls from a firm claiming to offer loft insulation. They don't seem to grasp the word 'no' and are quite persistent. What's odd is that they've somehow got hold of my address linked to a phone number that isn't even in the register. It's all rather dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from some call centre pretending they're from an 'energy supplier' - total scam, I reckon. Didn't pick up and just blocked the number straight away. Avoid it!

Had a call from someone with a strong foreign accent, didn’t catch what they were selling, sounded like a sales pitch though. Just ended up blocking the number.
