Got a robocall with a US female voice saying Amazon withdrew £7,000 from my account and Western Union took £1,800 too. They told me to press 1 to speak to their fraud department. They never said my name or the bank’s. I just hung up straight away.

Definitely a call centre, probably some survey, rang me just after 8:30 in the morning - lucky I was up then. These calls should be tracked down and there needs to be some sort of fine for harassment, it’s really getting out of hand now. This week alone I’ve had three survey calls and about three other scammy financial claim callers as well.

Got me out of bed again this morning at 10am, been feeling unwell for days now. After seeing others' comments, looks like it's some call centre robot dialing out with no real person behind it cos when you pick up it goes quiet. I just got a basic Nokia and added the number to the block list, so the phone just rings with no noise or buzz, call shows on screen if you look. Got a call from someone saying they were from "BERSO" and insisted it wasnt a sales call, just a quick survey. But the first question sounded totally like a sales pitch so I told them I actually run a sales and marketing firm and can spot that kind of thing a mile off. Then the caller got rude and hung up on me. Surely the Computer Misuse Act covers this kinda thing? Its about time phone companies and officials did something to stop this kind of abuse and hassle on our tech systems.
